Worked from 1987 at La Libre Belgique and became a war reporter from the war in ex-Yugoslavia. Did cover three main conflicts: the Balkans wars, Afghanistan from 2002 and Iraq and Syria from 2011. Also travelled extensively in other parts of the world, covered NATO affairs, and specialized in investigations, including the killing of Ahmad Shah Massoud. Did publish recently Moleenbeek-sur-Djihad (Grasset).
