Fotografija snimljena u Gazi, u maju 2016. u sklopu projekta “Čitam, pišem” o arapskim ženama i obrazovanju, prikazuje djevojke okupljene u školi UNRWA-e za vrijeme školskog odmora.
Photo taken in Gaza in May 2016 as part of “I Read I Write” project about Arab women and education shows girls gather at an UNRWA school during break time.
During my stay in Gaza, I met four women dealing with the complicated process of getting travel permits. Their stories reflect how they patiently dealt with the uncertainty of their situation in a place that barely has time to breathe between wars, and how they handled the anxiety and anguish inherent in these unpredictable procedures.
