WARM Movies: December 12–14 in Sarajevo
WARM Movies: December 12–14 in Sarajevo
Screening and discussing the most relevant conflict-related films of 2025
This December in Sarajevo, WARM will present three conflict-related films that made the strongest impact in 2025, chosen by WARM members and friends. The aim is clear: to screen important works and open space for the kind of discussion that WARM’s community can bring.
From December 12 to 14, and in partnership with the Sarajevo Film Festival, the following films will be shown:
- 2000 Meters to Avdiivka, directed by Mstyslav Chernov
- The Voice of Hind Rajab, directed by Kaouther Ben Hania
- Surviving Syria’s Prison, UK, directed by Sasha Joelle Achilli and Sara Obeidat
Screenings begin at 6PM at Kino Meeting Point, followed by a conversation with the authors. Entry is free.
The idea behind WARM Movies is simple: at the end of each year, we come together in Sarajevo and look at the films that mattered to us – not through prizes, juries, or any industry logic, but through the eyes of people who work on conflicts every day.
This initiative builds on one of WARM’s central strengths: a global community with first-hand knowledge of wars and crises, capable of recognising the depth, context, and significance behind the stories shown on screen. Over time, this gathering will grow into what will surely become a respectable and trusted WARM Collection of conflict-related films, selected by people who understand these subjects from lived experience.
This December marks the beginning.
The program is made possible thanks to the support of our members and partners, especially Pro Peace and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES).
See you at Meeting Point.
