Environmental Humanities Fellowship – INDEX (Open Call)
WARM is pleased to share an opportunity from our partners at INDEX.
INDEX has launched the Environmental Humanities Fellowship, inviting researchers, writers, and practitioners to engage with questions at the intersection of environment, culture, and conflict. The program supports projects that explore how ecological crises are shaped by war, memory, and social realities, with a strong focus on Ukraine and its broader context.
At a time when environmental damage is increasingly inseparable from conflict, this kind of work feels both urgent and necessary. It also aligns closely with our own interest in opening space for projects that look at where conflicts meet the environment, not as a side issue, but as a central one.
The fellowship offers time, support, and a framework to develop new work, and to connect with others working in related fields. We encourage those within our network, and beyond, to take a closer look and consider applying.
