WARM Members Among Winners of World Press Photo 2026
We are proud to congratulate WARM members Kiana Hayeri, Nicole Tung, and Abdulmonam Eassa on being awarded in the 2026 World Press Photo Contest, one of the most important recognitions in photojournalism.
This year’s contest once again highlighted some of the most urgent stories shaping our world. Among the winners, Kiana Hayeri was recognized for her work on Afghanistan, focusing on the lives of women and girls under Taliban rule, and the human consequences of political decisions.
Nicole Tung was awarded for her work on Syria, capturing the fragile and complex reality of a country still marked by division and slow recovery.
Abdulmonam Eassa was recognized for his powerful work on the war in Sudan, documenting the devastating consequences of a conflict that has displaced millions and left entire cities in ruins.
The 2026 World Press Photo winners were selected from thousands of entries worldwide, with awarded projects forming part of the traveling exhibition that will be seen by millions globally.
It is a strong moment not only for these authors, but also for the broader WARM community, whose members continue to produce work with integrity, depth, and relevance.
