Anthony Feinstein

Professor (Psychiatry), University of Toronto

I am a behavioral scientist who has researched how frontline journalists cope with the dangers and stresses of war. I also research factors that motivate iournalists to cover war. The emphasis here is on the biological basis of risk taking (genetic, brain imaging, biochemical). My work has been published in a number of journals (American Journal of Psychiatry, Journal of Traumatic Stress Studies) and in a book, Journalists Under Fire, The Psychological Hazards of Covering War (John Hopkins University Press).
