I began traveling the world at the age of 22. By age 26 I was in Bosnia, in the spring of 1993. There I made the film, “Miss Sarajevo,” as well as organized the satellite links between the city and U2 concerts for their Zooropa tour. Eventually I worked with the band U2 to set up the 1997 concert in Sarajevo. Since, I have written for various Magazines on subjects such as the middle east, Algeria, Mexican drug cartels, and various other topics. I have a large black and white portfolio from various conflict zones and have made several other documentaries. Over the last several years I have written two screenplays and three books- “Fools Rush In,” “Red Summer,” and “Boom, Bust, Boom.” I also do college lectures throughout the US and Europe. www.billcarter.cc
