Artist - Message to Syria

Geraldine Kouzan, French, born in 1980. After studying political and european science in Lille and a Master-degree in Institutional Communication at Celsa in Paris, she works in a lobby-office in France and abroad, especially with Morocco. Wishing to mix social issues with artistic expression, she then turns toward writing and filmmaking and gets the diploma “Images and Society” in producing documentaries, at the Department of Sociology – University of Evry Val d’Essonne (2012). She did a short fiction film (À portée d’ombre – 2012), a poetic film (Unfolding-Taipei – 2014) with Anne-Sophie Bosc, dealing with the subject of migrants working and living in Taïwan. Together with the artist- scenographe Bissane Al-Sharif, she produces an artistic and digital installation, “Message to Syria” (2013) to sensibilize to the civilian war victims from Syria. She creates, in parallel, the cultural association “PANOPEE Art Shake Up”, to open up art practices.
