Jérôme Tubiana

Jérôme Tubiana is an independent researcher specialised in Sudan, South Sudan and Chad. Since 2004, he worked as a researcher specializing mostly on conflict in Darfur as well as other parts of Sudan (South Kordofan and Blue Nile) and South Sudan, for various NGOs, most notably the International Crisis Group (for which he has been Sudan Senior Analyst 2012-15), the Small Arms Survey, as well as the USIP (United States Institute of Peace), the African Union-United Nations Joint Mediation Support Team (JMST) for Darfur and the United Nations Security Council Panel on the Sudan. Prior to that he has been working as a journalist and photographer, covering in particular conflict in the Horn of Africa. He is author of various articles in magazines such as Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, the London Review of Books and Le Monde diplomatique, and books, notably “Chroniques du Darfour” (Glénat, 2010).
