Annie, the Middle East Editor at The New Humanitarian, is an award-winning journalist, editor, and creative storyteller who has worked in the Middle East for more than ten years. Some of her recent work includes The Yemen Listening Project, an innovative piece of Arabic-English participatory journalism, and “WhatsApp, Lebanon?”, which tells the story of Lebanon’s economic collapse through the WhatsApp messages of five people. Annie holds a Master’s degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
