Boro Kontić is the director of Mediacentar Sarajevo since 1995. He is the author of the documentary movie “Years eaten by lions”, about journalism and hate speech in ex-Yugoslavia between 1991 and 2010, of the documentary movie “Untitled” about writer (and Nobel Prize winner) Ivo Andrić and his last visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and of the documentary “Exhibition”. He has been the president of the Independent Union of BiH journalists. During the war in Sarajevo, he was a member of the Management Board of Radio-Television of B&H, and then a reporter for Voice of America. Before the war, he was the editor-in-chief of Radio Sarajevo Youth Program and then of Radio Sarajevo Program II. He started radio broadcast in 1979 by producing and hosting a live show called Primus. Boro Kontić was born in 1955 and graduated from the faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo in 1977. He is married and lives with his wife and son in Sarajevo.
