On March 28, 2025, Myanmar was struck by a devastating 7.7-magnitude earth- quake, claiming thousands of lives. The disaster unfolded amidst the ongoing conflict between the federal army and ethnic armed groups, which has plagued the country since 2021. Myanmar’s authorities imposed strict restrictions, pre- venting journalists from accessing the affected areas, leaving only a handful able to report from the ground.
