TRACES SCREENING FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSION ON JUSTICE AND SURVIVORS

As part of WARM Movie Nights, WARM Festival 2026 screened TRACES, Alisa Kovalenko’s documentary on conflict-related sexual violence committed by Russian forces in Ukraine and the women determined to ensure these crimes are documented and do not remain hidden.

The screening at Kino Meeting Point was followed by a conversation with Alisa Kovalenko and Adrijana Hanušić, a lawyer specialising in transitional justice and the rights of survivors of wartime sexual violence. Moderated by Aida Feraget, the discussion explored the role of documentary film in bearing witness, the long road towards justice, and the importance of supporting survivors while preserving evidence of these crimes.

The evening brought together filmmaking, legal expertise and human rights advocacy in a discussion that highlighted the lasting consequences of war and the need for accountability.

The event was presented with the support of the Women Lead BiH initiative, supported by the UN Peacebuilding Fund.
