VISUAL FACTORY MASTERCLASS BRINGS EMERGING PHOTOJOURNALISTS TO SARAJEVO
Just before the opening of WARM Festival 2026, Sarajevo welcomed participants and mentors of the Visual Factory Masterclass, organised in partnership with the WARM Foundation.
Over five intensive days, participants worked closely with renowned photographers Manu Brabo, Fabio Bucciarelli, Diego Ibarra Sánchez and Bülent Kılıç, developing their documentary projects through lectures, editing sessions, portfolio reviews and discussions about ethics, storytelling and the responsibilities of contemporary photojournalism.
As part of the partnership, the WARM Foundation awarded scholarships to a number of young photographers from the WARM network, giving them the opportunity to take part in the programme alongside participants from around the world.
The masterclass concluded with the opening of WARM Festival 2026, allowing participants to continue their experience by attending exhibitions, screenings, talks and discussions, and by meeting many of the photographers, editors and journalists whose work they had been discussing throughout the week.
The collaboration between Visual Factory and WARM Foundation reflects a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of visual storytellers and creating opportunities for learning, collaboration and long-term professional connections.
