Through the Looking Glass was a cross-conflict photographic exhibition presented during WARM Festival 2019 in Sarajevo and later shown at the Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award in France.
The exhibition brought together photographs produced over several decades of reporting from different conflict zones. Rather than focusing on a single country or event, the project assembled images from multiple wars and political crises, placing them in dialogue with one another.
Many photographs are made through glass, reflections, screens, dust, smoke, and broken surfaces that interrupt clarity. These layers belong to the scene itself, shaping what can be seen and what remains just beyond reach.
First exhibited in Sarajevo, a city with its own wartime history, the project was later presented in Bayeux within the framework of an international platform dedicated to war correspondents and conflict reporting.
