We are proud to announce that WARM Foundation member Raúl Gallego Abellán has been honored with the International Emmy Award for Best Short-Form Series for his work on Punt de no retorn (Point of No Return). This series, produced for TV3 Catalonia, examines critical global issues such as climate change, conflicts, economic crises, and technological advancements through compelling personal narratives.
The award was presented at the 52nd International Emmy Awards Gala held in New York City on November 25, 2024.
Raúl Gallego Abellán is a multi-award-winning video journalist and filmmaker. He pioneers innovative and compelling storytelling in both cinematic video journalism and documentaries, with a deep commitment to highlighting underreported stories and voices.
His previous works include the Emmy-nominated series Fly on the Wall for Al Jazeera English and the award-winning documentary Pani: Women, Drugs, and Kathmandu. Raúl’s work with TVE, TV3, The Associated Press Television News, and Channel 4 News UK has taken him around the world, from war zones and natural disaster sites to scenes of social unrest, as well as inspirational and moving character-driven stories.
