Cécile Hennion

Cécile Hennion is a French reporter specialized in Middle East, covering this region since 1997. She started as a freelancer in Egypt, then covered the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (second Intifada) for Jeune Afrique (2000-2002). Working for the daily Le Monde since 2004, she covered the Iraq war, the Israeli-Lebanese war in 2006 and, more recently, the Egyptian revolution and the war in Libya. Author of Ya Benti, ma fille, a journalism route in the Arab world, she is Le Monde correspondent for the Middle East, based in Beirut, since 2009.
