Monday, July 6

WARM Academy Begins
The 2026 edition of the WARM Academy opens its week-long programme of lectures, discussions, workshops and presentations.
Venue: European House of Culture and National Minorities

Svjedoci (Witnesses)
Exhibition by Nusret Pašić, curated by Lejla Hodžić. The exhibition remains open until July 20.
Venue: Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo – 6:30PM

WARM Festival 2026 Opening Ceremony
Official opening of the WARM Festival 2026.
Venue: Kino Meeting Point – 8PM

Journalism Is Not a Crime
Presentation of a project by Svetlana Bachevanova and FOTOEVIDENCE.

WARM Movie Nights: All That’s Left of You (2025)
Film by Cherien Dabis. An epic family saga spanning generations of Palestinian history, exploring displacement, memory, love and resilience under occupation. Followed by a discussion with the director.

Tuesday, July 7

WARM Academy Continues
Lectures, presentations and workshops.

WARM Books
A programme of book-related events, including promotions, discussions and presentations with authors and contributors.

Shedding the Veils
Outdoor exhibition by Nariman El-Mofty, presented at fifteen locations across Sarajevo’s city centre in partnership with Gallery 11/07/95. Curated by Lejla Hodžić. Artist walk and talk begins in front of the National Theatre.
Venue: National Theatre – 6:30PM

WARM Movie Nights: TRACES (2026)
Film by Alisa Kovalenko. A documentary on sexual violence committed by Russian forces in Ukraine and the women who refuse to let these crimes remain hidden. Followed by a discussion with the director.

Wednesday, July 8

WARM Academy Continues
Lectures, presentations and workshops.
Venue: European House of Culture and National Minorities

Uprisings
Presentation of a new WARM Foundation project on global uprisings, developed in partnership with the Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for War Correspondents. Followed by a discussion with Alice Gabriner, Jon Lee Anderson, Damir Sagolj and Rémy Ourdan. Moderated by Carol Isoux.

WARM Sacrifice Zone
Collective exhibition by participants of the WARM Academy, followed by the launch of the Academy zine.
Venue: European House of Culture and National Minorities – 6PM

WARM Movie Nights: Orwell: 2+2=5 (2025)
Film by Raoul Peck. A documentary essay examining the mechanisms of power, manipulation and disinformation through the world of George Orwell.

Thursday, July 9

WARM Academy Open Stage
Presentation of projects developed by participants of the 2026 WARM Academy. Moderated by Jordan Byron.

Reporting the Middle East Today: Access, Risk and Responsibility
Panel discussion on the challenges of reporting from the Middle East today. Moderated by Sophie Nivelle-Cardinale, with Alice Froussard, Francesca Albanese, Katia Jarjoura and Ghaith Abdul Ahad.

WARM Books: Who Is That Man? – An Account of a Possibility
Book promotion of Tko je taj čovjek?: Izvještaj o jednoj mogućnosti by Boris Dežulović, in conversation with Ahmed Burić. This event will be held in Bosnian language only.

Panel discussion on reporting the environmental consequences of war. With Volodymyr Kadygrob, Lejla Kusturica, Scott Peterson and others.

IRAN 2026: A Chronicle
Collective exhibition on recent events in Iran featuring works from multiple photographers, texts, music and images from the Thomas Dworzak Collection. Curated by Damir Sagolj. The exhibition remains open until July 20.
Venue: National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina – 5:30PM

SCARS
Collective exhibition produced through the Living the War Documentary Project Scholarship Program, presenting the work of young Ukrainian photographers exploring the environmental consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Curatorial direction by Kateryna Radchenko, mentor of the programme. The exhibition remains open until July 20.
Venue: National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina – 6PM

WARM Movie Nights: Time Machine Maidan (2026)
Film by Roman Liubyi and Volodymyr Tykhyy. A reflection on the Maidan uprising and its lasting impact on Ukraine, told through archival footage and eyewitness testimony. Followed by a discussion with the authors.

Saturday, July 11

The Sniper Artists
Screening of the documentary by Didier Martiny and Jean-François Berger, followed by a discussion on political cartooning, satire and freedom of expression in times of conflict with Chappatte, Didier Martiny and Jean-François Berger. Moderated by Boris Siber.

GAZA: The Chronicle of a Genocide
Photographs by Ali Jadallah. Curated by Damir Sagolj, in partnership with Gallery 11/07/95 and the Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for War Correspondents. The exhibition remains open until July 20.

A Tribute to Antoni Lallican
A slideshow presentation celebrating the work of French photojournalist Antoni Lallican, who was killed while reporting in Ukraine.

WARM Movie Nights: American Doctor (2026)
Film by Poh Si Teng. Three American doctors volunteer in Gaza, documenting the human cost of war from inside overwhelmed hospitals.

Sunday, July 12

DJ / Music Workshop & Closing Party
Led by NOUR (DJ, activist, creative director and founder of @aswatnastudio), this week-long workshop empowers girls, women and gender minorities through music. The festival concludes with a party where workshop participants take over the decks to celebrate the end of WARM Festival 2026.
